Dear valued patients:

Due to recent recommendations from the CDC and mandates from the State of Pennsylvania, our office will be closed effective immediately to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Your health, and the health of our dedicated staff matters to us, so going forward we will suspend all non-emergency care through May 31st. Patients will be seen only for urgent and emergency dental needs. If you have what you consider an emergency, please call the office and you will be directed to reach Dr. Spilkia. If you are scheduled for an appointment in the upcoming weeks, expect a call from us to reschedule that appointment.

Thank you for your understanding. Be safe and stay healthy!

Where can Philadelphia area patients obtain emergency dental care?

Emergency Dental Care Philadelphia

Dr. David Spilkia of Philadelphia offers emergency dental care because he understands that not everything happens at convenient times. Patients may be dealing with a severe toothache that keeps them up at two in the morning, or may lose a dental restoration such as a crown or a bridge while brushing their teeth before bedtime. The unexpected can happen, and this is why he helps new and existing patients around the clock.

Philadelphia area patients are welcome to contact David Spilkia Family and Cosmetic Dentistry whenever they have a dental emergency. Our team is here to help. We assist with some of the following emergency concerns:

  • Broken, fractured teeth
  • Trauma to a natural tooth
  • Knocked out tooth
  • Swollen jaw
  • Abscesses
  • Denture repair
  • Diseased, or infected teeth, which may require root canal therapy
  • Lost restorations such as bridges, crowns, and veneers

When dental problems arise, it is always a good idea to seek the assistance of a quality team of professionals as soon as possible. Problems left untreated can become worse. Big problems can become expensive problems, so when patients get help for their condition from a dentist promptly, they are able to reduce the risk of the problem becoming more time-consuming and costly. For example, a cavity can be avoided with proper care of the smile between dental visits and cleanings and examinations at least twice a year. If a cavity develops and patients do not visit their dentist for treatment, it can become larger and infect the dental pulp. The pulp is the inner mass of tissues within a tooth and when infected, may require root canal therapy or extraction.

If you live in or around the Philadelphia community and are in immediate need of professional assistance, contact David Spilkia Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in the Philadelphia area today to see how quickly we can get you in, assisted, and on with your day with our emergency dental care solutions.
